Pilates reformer and apparatus

Lucent Pilates in downtown San Mateo is seeking a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor for substitute coverage, with the possibility of a longer-term teaching position with more flexibility as the studio grows.

Confirmed 2026 coverage dates (San Mateo local time):

• October 10–11 and October 24–25: classes at 10am, 11am and 12pm each day.
• November 21–22 and November 28–29: classes at 10am, 11am and 12pm each day.
• November 24, December 1 and December 3: classes at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm each day.

Pay: $50–$75 per 50-minute class, with a 10-minute transition period between classes.

Most classes are small groups of 3 students with 1 instructor, using Reformer and other Pilates apparatus. The studio will provide the class curriculum and format in advance.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive Pilates certification.
• Comfortable teaching small-group apparatus classes.
• Reliable, professional, and confident with verbal cueing and client modifications.
• Willing to learn and follow the studio’s curriculum and teaching format.

The dates above are the current substitute coverage needs. The studio is also interested in an instructor who may want a longer-term teaching position as the studio grows.
