Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy of PlankeApp

Effective date: August 21, 2026

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains how Planke App LLC, doing business as PlankeApp ("PlankeApp," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information through the PlankeApp website, mobile applications, and related services.

PlankeApp is a marketplace for fitness instructors, studios, and other participating businesses. Some information is public because public profiles, job posts, and mentorship listings are part of the service. Messages, applications, payment details, and account-management information are not intended to be public.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, account type, business or workplace information, biography, profile photos and videos, certifications, experience, fitness disciplines, websites and social links, opportunity preferences, and location information.
  • Marketplace content: job posts, pay and schedule details, applications, offers, availability, mentorship listings, saved items, and related status information.
  • Communications: messages between members, contact and advisory inquiries, feedback, notification preferences, and marketing-email choices.
  • Payment and subscription information: selected plan, purchase source, subscription status, transaction references, and billing contact information. Payment processors collect payment-card or store-account credentials directly; PlankeApp does not receive full card numbers.

Information collected when you use PlankeApp

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, pages or screens viewed, referring source, clicks, scrolling, navigation, feature use, timestamps, and session duration.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports, exceptions, console errors, performance measurements, network and resource-failure summaries, and related technical context.
  • Location: approximate or precise location when you use a location-based feature and allow the relevant browser or device permission.
  • Device access: photos, videos, or camera access when you choose to upload or capture profile media, and notification tokens when you enable push notifications.

Information from other sources

We may receive authentication details from Google when you choose Google sign-in, purchase and subscription status from Stripe, Apple, or Google Play, and referral or campaign information from links that brought you to PlankeApp. We may also maintain business contact and outreach records in our customer relationship management tools.

How we use information

  • Provide accounts, profiles, search, job posting, applications, messaging, mentorship, subscriptions, notifications, and support.
  • Authenticate users, prevent abuse and fraud, secure the service, and enforce our terms.
  • Personalize search and marketplace results and maintain user preferences.
  • Process purchases, administer subscriptions, and maintain accounting and transaction records.
  • Send transactional messages, requested alerts, service notices, and marketing communications where permitted. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe method.
  • Measure product use, diagnose failures, improve usability and performance, and evaluate product changes.
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, and protect the rights and safety of PlankeApp, our users, and others.

Automated processing and artificial intelligence

Content assistance

PlankeApp uses Anthropic models to perform limited content tasks such as mechanically cleaning user-written profile or job descriptions, extracting structured job details, and drafting third-person mentorship descriptions from existing profile facts. The relevant text and facts are sent to Anthropic for processing. PlankeApp checks these outputs before use. Description cleaning uses a similarity check and falls back to the original text when processing fails or changes too much. Structured extraction must parse into the expected data shape. Mentorship drafts must pass length, contact-information, first-person, and formatting checks; otherwise no generated draft is used. These checks reduce, but do not eliminate, the possibility of incorrect output.

Session recording and automated analysis

PostHog records website sessions and a sample of mobile-app sessions so PlankeApp can find errors, broken flows, and confusing product experiences. Recordings may include visible page or screen state and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. Native form inputs are masked by the web recorder, and PlankeApp uses additional capture-time blocks around selected private or identifying content. Mobile session recording masks text and images.

When Replay Vision is enabled, PlankeApp may use automated analysis to review a bounded sample of eligible recordings for errors and usability problems. PostHog renders the recording for analysis and sends it with related session events to the model provider used by that feature, currently Google Gemini. PostHog's organization setting currently permits AI training on anonymized data. Results are used to improve the service. PlankeApp does not use this analysis to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for users.

Applications, offers, and direct messages are shown only to the participants and authorized PlankeApp personnel or providers as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.

Cookies, local storage, analytics, and choices

PlankeApp and its providers use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, attribution, and session recording. The website currently initializes PostHog analytics when the site loads. You can use browser or device controls to block or clear cookies and storage, but doing so may affect sign-in, preferences, or other features. You may also contact us to object to or ask questions about analytics processing.

PlankeApp does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Push notifications can be disabled in device or browser settings, and marketing emails can be stopped with the unsubscribe link in the message.

Legal bases

Where a legal basis is required, we process personal information as necessary to provide the service or take requested pre-contractual steps; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving PlankeApp; with consent; or to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Retention

  • Account and marketplace records: retained while an account is active and afterward as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain legitimate business records.
  • Session recordings: the current PostHog project retention setting is 30 days. Changing that setting applies to newly captured recordings according to PostHog's retention rules.
  • Product analytics events: retained according to the PostHog account settings and service terms. The current configured event-retention value is 12 months.
  • Transactions, email, support, and customer-relationship records: retained for the period reasonably necessary for accounting, delivery, suppression, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and relationship management.
  • Backups and provider copies: information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, or provider systems after deletion from active systems.

We review retention based on the purpose, sensitivity, volume, legal requirements, and risk of the information. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.
